Holy Jolokia Hot Sauce(5oz./148ml): A portion of bottle sales helps to fund research and education at the Chile Pepper Institute - where spiciness is a religion. The chile heat in this sauce comes from Bhut Jolokia, a chili pepper from India tested by Dr. Paul W. Bosland (New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM) and measured at 1 million (1,000,000) Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Caution: Your taste buds may cry out..."Holy Jolokia!"
Warning: Naga Bhut Jolokia Hot Sauces contain the world's hottest chili pepper, the Naga Jolokia. This is an extremely hot non-extract hot sauce. The Naga Jolokia chile pepper is rated at 1,000,000+ Scoville Units. This sauce is listed in our "Pepper Extract" category only because of it's intense heat of over 1,000,000 Units.
The Bhut Jolokia comes from North India and it is indeed the hottest chili in the world. The people over there believe that if you eat it, you will become a ghost. Thus comes the name Bhut Jolokia where Bhut means Ghost in the local language.
Vinegar, Bhut Jolokia Chiles, Sugar, Salt, Granulated Garlic, Lemon Extract, Xanthan Gum.

Great Sauce!
Very Good Flavor And Heat! Has A Good Balance Of Heat To Flavor And Goes Great On Its Own On Anything.

Great Bang For Buck
Hot. Not The Hottest, But Youre Getting A Well Balanced Heat Spike And Flavor For An Awesome Price. Not That Long Drawn Out Heat... More Like A Decent Spike. Worth A Try.

Awesome Flavor
This Went Great In The Making Of Some Fire Hot Wings. You Will Love The Flavor But I Don'T Feel As If The Heat Is As Extreme As You Would Expect. As It Builds Up In Your Mouth, It Begins To Burn Down Your Throat.

Not As
Not As Hot As Advertised In My Opinion. It Does Sneak Up On You But If You'Re Looking For A Meltdown Type Hotsauce Then The Blair'S Ultra Death Or Some Of The Ghost Pepper Sauces Actually Seem To Be Quite A Bit Hotter Than This One.

Great Flavor - Heat Varies By The Bottle
Living In The Northeast, It Is Hard To Find Hot Sauces In The Store. I Was In An Airport In Dallas And Came Across This Sauce. Since It Had The Ghost Chili, I Purchased Two Bottles. Both Tasted Great, But The Second Bottle Was Much Hotter Than The First. The Heat On The Second Bottle Was Not One Million Scoville, But I Would Estimate Was Between 300,000 And 400,000. I Wonder If There Is Considerable Variation Between Bottles, So Buyer Beware. Great Flavor, And Each Purchase Supports A Great Cause - Research Into Medicinal Uses For Peppers. I Would Purchase This Again, Though Mostly For The Flavor And Not For The Heat.

Not Bad
Decent Flavor, So So Heat-No Where Near 1 Million Shu As Advertised. Wouldn'T Buy It Again.

Not That Hot At All
This Sauce Is Known To Be Really Hot, But It Doesn'T Burn, It Just Stings. But Really Good Flavor.

Delicious Super Sauce
This Sauce Has Terrific Flavor! It Burns Nice And Even In My Mouth But It Is In No Way Million Scoville Units Of Heat. I Gave This 5 Stars For Taste And 3 Stars For Heat. Make No Mistake, It Is Hot But No Where Near The Heat Claim That They Make! I Purchased In San Antonio For 12.95 This Site Seems To Have A Great Price.

Tasy, But Nowhere Near A Million Shu
I Just Got This In The Mail Today, And Was A Little Nervous To Try It With The 1,000,000,000 Shu Rating. I Went All Out And Just At A Drop On My Finger So I Could Experience The True Taste. It Was Absolutely Delicious, But There Was Almost No Burn, Maybe A Little More Than Franks Red Hot, But I Do Love The Taste. If You Are Going For Flavor And Not Fire, I Say Give This A Shot. I'Ll Buy Again For Flavor Alone.
